Having only got one entry into the County Cup competition and getting through to Finals day earlier in the season a team of U9s gathered at Hinckley RFC last Sunday to show their skills.

With nervous coaches and pacing parents neither remembered to actually complete the necessaries for a match report therefore the brevity of this write up!!!!

The afternoon started with the team facing South Leicester. The players started slightly on edge and took until the second half to get into their stride. Despite this Soth Leicester couldn't cope with the fast speed of play and the accurate passing between players. A successful first step completed and after a short break they faced a strong team from Oadby Wiggs. The team fought hard to score first which clinched the match as the game ended 2-2.

Two wins saw the team through to a final against Lutterworth. The first half was a tight affair with great defensive play by both teams. In the second half the fast pace of the Harborough team became too much for Lutterworth to handle and the tries started to come. In the end the score was 5-2.
