Match one started with JJ Andrews scoring from the kick-off and this set the precedence for the rest of the game. Good defence followed by strong running allowed tries to quickly flow from James Marten, Josiah Smith, Matti Hodgson, Henry Phillips and Josh Mould. 8-nil in the first quarter.
The second mini game saw a 6-nil result which included tries from Sam Chapman, with his first touch of the ball, and Edward Westaway who weaved his way over the line.
The third was a much tougher affair which was not reflected in the final scoreline. Daventry started well but then Joe Tremlett ran the length of the pitch to open the scoring which reached 6-nil by the end.
The Hares scored another 7 tries in the fourth game, including one from Harry Carter who had been unlucky to be over the whitewash twice before without scoring. The final play of the match saw Daventry score a deserved try in the far corner, providing a final score of 7-1 to the Hares.
A fun and well-spirited "Barbarians" styled mixed match concluded the morning activities for both teams.
