In a nip and tuck game South used their pace out wide to score whilst Harborough played to the strength of the pack and dominated the set pieces using this as a platform to score from.

With the score at 34-39 to the Vets with just under 15 to go discipline, territory and possession would see the old boys through till the final whistle. Unfortunately coughing up possession far too easily was the way it was decided to see out the remaining game time.

With all credit to South's defence which managed to hold up a number of almost certain tries over the line this was once again one that we threw away in the second half having done the hard work.

With the loss and results elsewhere in the league the Vets now slip to a lowly 4th position behind Lions Vets albeit on points difference having won/lost the same number of games.
