On Sunday 24th November, Leicester Tigers player Hanro Liebenberg joined a training session with our Under 6 age group (Reception and Year 1) and afterwards was available for a photo and signing event in the clubhouse.

Dave Beadnall, Lead Coach for the Under 6’s said “It was a real heartwarming event. Hanro was inspirational, humble and got stuck straight into the session making the this fun and memorable for the kids. Each player had the opportunity to pass to and receive the ball from Hanro, whom the children referred to as the 'big man' ”.

After the session, Hanro signed shirts, flags and rugby balls, as well as being willing to have photos with the U6 players and their families, adding a personal touch that the children and their parents/carers will cherish.

This type of engagement not only motivates the children but also strengthens the connection between professional players and grassroots rugby.
